Burn Out

To save his loved ones, Tony must use his motorcycle talents for drug deliveries.

French newcomer Grégoire Auger recently composed two remarkable scores: Mariana (los perros) and La mécanique de l’ombre.

He’s just composed for Burn Out a captivating and thrilling score flirting with electronic music, synth wave and orchestral. A dark and frightening score that perfectly fits the plot’s tension.

“With composer Grégoire Auger we wanted a modern electronic score, with a hint of many influences such as guitars from A Forest by The Cure, industrial textures by Trent Reznor, and vintage synthesizers from Tangerine Dream. From the beginning, Grégoire wanted to compose a recurring theme, eventually discreet. We can hear this theme during the opening tracking shot in which Tony passes through the paddock just before the race. For this scene, Grégoire and me evoked Howard Shore’s score for Crash and its particular use of guitar. That’s why we incorporated electric guitars with distorted and plucked strings. These sounds create a metallic soundscape which reminds us the world of motorcycle.” (Yann Gozlan, director)
