Amélie- A New Musical

Amélie, based off the 2001 film of the same name, is a new Broadway musical about a young girl named Amélie Poulain who grew up with germaphobe father, Raphael, and a neurotic mother, Amandine. Amélie learns how to make her way in world, making a few friends throughout her journey.

The musical features music by Daniel Messé and lyrics by Messé and Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting), with a book by Craig Lucas (The Light in the Piazza, An American in Paris). It premiered at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2015, ran briefly in LA’s Ahmanson Theatre, and will officially open at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre on April 3, 2017.
