The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 - 05/10 - Review of Chris R., submitted at
In a stunning yet, totally cliched move, Summit entertainment saw fit to ensure that the last of this god awful series got split into two parts. like another Franchise whose conclusion musically, even in part one, was vastly superior to this. For even with Carter Burwell, original composer for the movie Twilight, this score still lacks any kind of central theme or cohesive tone that would assist with the stories narrative.

Backed by the Powers of The London Symphony orchestra, Burwell offers us several listenable cues and heralds the return of the cue Bella's Lullaby, which gets its ultimate variation in Bella Reborn. But this ultimately is as close to any kind of connection with any of the previous movies.

With no real thematic material and a bunch of stand out cues, you get a real sense that this could have been a through-composed score had it not had Bella's Lullaby. Yet cues like A Nova Vida and Bella Reborn, make this score just barely over the edge of tolerable.
