There was a medium of entertainment in which the Glenn Miller Band had not engaged, that was film, however that soon changed when 20th Century Fox came knocking on Glenn's door with an offer to star in 'Sun Valley Serenade'. The movie was received with great critical acclaim and was soon followed by Glenn's next movie 'Orchestra Wives' which became equally popular. Both movies became a showcase around the world for not only the Glenn Miller sound but also a collection of his best loved tunes.
