A superb, sublime score if ever there was one. It's fortunate that MGM Records released Leppard's score in the UK, where the film faired somewhat better than it did in North America. MGM Records cancelled the US release of the lp after the film received negative reviews. A few of the best cues, including the Main Title credit music, are missing, but the sumptuous recording quality, engineered by an uncredited Richard Lewzey, more than makes up for it. Avoid the 'bootleg' CD, which Maestro Leppard did not approve of. Now, why hasn't Intrada Records, for example, released this recording? The master tapes are held by EMI in the UK.
