Rafertie
Benjamin Stefanski, best known by his recording alias Raffertie, is a British composer and producer. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, he studied Classical & Contemporary Music Composition at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, graduating in 2010.
He received initial acclaim for his experimental electronic recordings, released via seminal imprint Planet Mu and championed by Mary Anne Hobbs, signing to Ninja Tune in 2011. His debut artist album ‘Sleep Of Reason’ was critically lauded by The Wire, Pitchfork and Drowned In Sound.
His electronic dexterity and classic songwriting sensibility have seen him become known and sought out for the enigmatic, emotive sound he has developed throughout his work as a composer scoring for film, TV, games and advertising.
