Sbirro, la tua legge è lenta... la mia... no!

Digitmovies is re-releasing the OST by Stelvio Cipriani for the film “Hunted City” (original title “Sbirro, la tua legge è lenta… la mia… no!”).

Stelvio Cipriani wrote a rhythmic score with a nostalgic feeling which is then reprised in bossa, suspense, and action music versions. Maestro Cipriani also composed a folk theme to describe the Mafia and Camorra characters who are fighting each other in the film. The CD closes by reprising the folk theme and the main theme. Stelvio Cipriani’s bravura as a piano soloist is also found in this OST. This CD was made possible thanks to the mono masters preserved in the historical archives of the RCA.

Directed in 1979 by Stelvio Massi. Starring Maurizio Merli, Mario Merola, Carmen Scarpitta, Francisco Rabal, Nando Marineo, Massimo Dapporto, Matilde C. Tisano, Massimo Mirani, Remo Varisco, Lidia Costanzo, Gianni Casifa, Anna Canzi, Nino Carillo.

Commissioner Paolo Ferro (Merli), an expert at fighting the mafia, is sent to Milan to investigate a series of murders of financiers and lawyers which appears to have been carried out by the Sicilian criminal organization. Ferro is convinced that someone else has committed these crimes instead, and an old mafioso named Don Alfonso (Rabal)confirms that he is right. Ferro suspects that the ex-camorrista Raffaele Acampora (Merola), now manager of a chain of restaurants, is responsible for all the crimes. But in the end, Don Alfonso alone does justice by killing the dangerous criminal.
