And the nominees are

This morning the Academy Awards announced the nominees for this years Oscars. On March 12th we will know who will win the Oscar during the ceremony which will be hosted at Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles.

For John Williams it's his 53th time that his is nominated for an Oscar. He won an Oscar for films Fiddler on the Roof, Jaws, Star Wars, E.T. and Schindler’s List. Composers Justin Hurwitz and Carter Burwell are nominated for a 3rd time. Composer Volker Bertelmann has received a second nominations and for Son Lux it's their first nomination for Best Original Score.
