The Man from Toronto

A case of mistaken identity forces a bumbling entrepreneur to team up with a notorious assassin known as The Man from Toronto in hopes of staying alive.

About Ramin Djawadi

You could say composer Ramin Djawadi, two-time Emmy® Award-winner and three-time Grammy® nominee, resembles a “musical chameleon”. Versatility has defined his career, from celebrated scores for Game of Thrones®, Uncharted, Eternals, Iron Man, Westworld, Pacific Rim, Jack Ryan, A Wrinkle in Time, Clash of the Titans, Great Wall and Prison Break. Ramin has also composed scores for blockbuster video games including New World, Gears 5, Gears of War 4, and Medal of Honor.

Ramin’s highly anticipated score for The Man From Toronto will be released on Netflix June 24, 2022. The Sony Pictures film stars Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson and was directed by Patrick Hughes. The fourth season of Westworld featuring Ramin’s original score will arrive on HBO June 26, 2022 followed by HBO’s House of The Dragon, the Game of Thrones® prequel, which premieres August 21, 2022 with Ramin’s original music. Ramin’s score for the third season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan will be heard with the show’s forthcoming return to Amazon Prime Video.
Ramin has won two Emmy® Awards in the category “Outstanding Music Composition for A Series Original Dramatic Score” for his work on Game of Thrones®.

In collaboration with HBO and Live Nation, he transported the music from Game of Thrones into sold-out arenas and venues around the world for the Game of Thrones® Live Concert Experience.
The concert stirred up accolades from Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker, Mashable, and more. The New York Times called it, “a symphonic spectacular that aims to recreate the visceral kicks and swollen emotion of this HBO fantasy epic.

t Experience also received rave reviews in Europe during the spring of 2018 and returned to North America for a second tour in the fall of 2018 and a third tour in the fall of 2019. Ramin has conducted and performed at over 75 arena concerts to date, culminating in a sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

After his graduation from Berklee College of Music, Ramin picked up and moved west to Los Angeles where he was introduced to Hans Zimmer shortly thereafter. He cut his teeth by collaborating with Zimmer on projects such as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Ramin personally scored Blade: Trinity in 2014; a project that allowed him to team up with legendary Wu-Tang Clan mastermind RZA and begin a string of dynamic and genre-bending collaborations.

He would go on write music for Open Season alongside The Replacements’ Paul Westerberg and tap the talents of guitar-god Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage) for key cues in Iron Man and Pacific Rim. Moreover, he became a frequent collaborator for notable directors and producers such as Jonah Nolan (Person of Interest, Westworld), JJ Abrams (Person of Interest), and Lisa Joy (Westworld).

Most notably, Game of Thrones illuminates the breadth of his talent. Ramin’s “Main Title Theme” has become just as iconic and essential to the show as the Iron Throne. Season Six boasted one of his most popular compositions, “Light of the Seven”, which has impressively surpassed 100 million Spotify streams to date. His entrancing and elegant compositions typically average over 2.5 million plays monthly on Spotify, while spawning countless viral covers, and even topping Billboard’s Top Soundtracks chart. Ramin’s Game of Thrones® score albums have amassed over 1 billion streams to date.
