Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 1958.
During the 1970 decade, he studied Composition at the Universidad Católica Argentina.
Graduated in Film Composition at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts.
One of his recent works was composing and producing the soundtrack for Lucho Bender's film ‘Felicidades’.
This soundtrack was nominated for Best Original Song by the World Soundtracks Awards, at Flanders International Film Festival, Belgium.
In 2002, Daniel Tarrab composed, together with Andrés Goldtsein, the original soundtrack for ‘Some who lived’, directed by Luis Puenzo and produced by Steven Spielberg.
This soundtrack was published in Argentina by Acqua Records, and in the rest of the world by Chandos Records (UK,) and it was nominated for the Gardel Awards for Best Classical Music Album.
Daniel Tarrab was nominated as Best Composer and Discovery of the Year for ‘La Puta y la Ballena’ original soundtrack, at the 2004 World Soundtracks Awards, Belgium.
In 2005, he and Andres Goldstein composed the original soundtrack for Jorge Lanata and Andrés Schaer's film ‘Deuda’, produced by Patagonik Film Group
and they achieved a new nomination as Discovery of the Year at the 2005 World Soundtracks Awards.
