99 Songs is directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy with Ehan Bhat, Edilsy Vargas, Aditya Seal, Lisa Ray and Manisha Koirala.
99 Songs is a feature-length romantic musical being co-produced by A.R. Rahman’s YM Movies and Ideal Entertainment, and set to be released in Hindi and Tamil. The film’s direction and screenplay are by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, in his directorial debut.
99 Songs’ eagerly anticipated score is by A.R. Rahman and is sure to powerfully evoke emotions; the film is about an aspiring artist struggling to succeed in the music industry.
The story of the film coming together itself is also one of much inspiration for fans. It was nothing less than serendipity, the way the Maestro turned to filmmaking and then found a director, and co-producer, who also wanted to create films that go straight to the heart.
