Bruce Broughton creates wonderfully frenzied musical portrait for full orchestra, anchors with jaunty sax theme, then goes on colorful journey from there. Musical vignettes allow composer moments of tenderness, humor, excitement plus nods to his trademark Americana. First score affords initial thematic presentation, abundance of ideas.
