Composer Christopher Gunning has passed away
The British composer has composed scores for film and television over 40 years.
His best known credits is the music for the first nine seasons of TV series Agatha Christie’s Poirot, for which he was honored with a BAFTA TV Award in Great Britain.
He also composed Porterhouse Blue, Middlemarch, Under Suspicion, La Vie en rose, Peter Sasdy’s horror movie Hands of the Ripper, the comedy Man About the House, Goodbye Gemini, the drama When the Whales Came, Rebecca, The Big Battalions, the TV movie Pollyanna and Grace of Monaco.
In recognition of Gunning's contribution to music, he received a BASCA Gold Badge Award on 19 October 2011.[
Gunning died on 25 March 2023, at the age of 78.
