We are proud to present the soundtrack to the new Michael Glasner film, SEXY SADIE, performed and produced by Hamburg's multitalented Bernd Begemann, known for his solo pieces 'As Long As The Lawnmowers Sing' and 'Now You're In The Talkshows' - titles that any fan of present-day beat with German lyrics has been familiar with for awhile.
The secret weapon of this film is its music. Played live to the running film in a 3-day non-stop session this soundtrack documents the coming together of the producer Begemann, members of Hamburg's jazz scene including musicians from 'Jeremy Days', 'Mr. Ledernacken', Folke Jensen and two of Hamburg's star jazz talents Marcus Vogt (trombone) and the exceptionally gifted Jan Peter Klüpfel on solo trumpet.
Sometimes leaning towards classic thriller pieces, sometimes melancholic and tender jazz melodies, this music clings to the images of heroes damned to eternity.
Beat, easy listening and two songs by Andrea Schneider of the 'Geschwister Pfister' contribute something very special to this black-and-white film starring Corinna Harfouch and Jürgen Vogel (in his best role yet). Lovers of good music and fans with good taste for music will certainly be attracted to this CD.
