The 'I' changed several times between the stage and screen, but the 'King' was always Yul Brynner, from 1951 through the 719 performances the 1977 cast gave. Here's the beautifully recorded cast LP that earned a Grammy nod: Getting to Know You; Hello, Young Lovers; I Have Dreamed , and more of Rodgers & Hammerstein at their very best!
