3 nieuwe releases van Quartet Records

Muziek van Jarre, Rozsa en Holdridge

Quartet Records heeft hun 3 laatste releases van 2013 aangekondigd. Zij brengen de volledige score uit van Maurice Jarre's A Passage to India, Miklos Rozsa's The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes en een expanded 2CD versie van Lee Holdridge's The Beastmaster.

De muziek voor David Lean's A Passage to India uit 1985 wordt met 20 minuten extra uitgebreid. Maurice Jarre won voor zijn score een Oscar voor beste score in 1985. Er zijn in totaal 1200 exemplaren verkrijgbaar.

Miklos Rozsa's score voor The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes is voor het eerst verkrijgbaar, althans toch de originele film opname. In 2007 heeft Tadlow Records de score heropgenomen maar nu kunnen de fans van Rozsa genieten van de originele score. Van deze release zijn er maar 1000 exemplaren verkrijgbaar.

De 3de en laatste release is een expanded versie op 2CD's van Lee Holdridge's Beastmaster. Holdrigde componeerde een avontuurlijke score voor deze film uit 1982. Varese Sarabande bracht in 1983 de score uit en werd later door Cam Records heruigegeven. Quartet Records zorgt nu voor een expanded score welke de tijdsduur op 135 minuten brengt. Op deze uitgave staat zowel de originele score als de film versie in chronologische volgorde. In totaal zijn er 1200 exemplaren verkrijgbaar van deze Limited Collector's Edition.
