Varese Sarabande will release Steven Price's score to Fury on October 14th 2014. Directed by David Ayer, Fury stars Brad Pitt as “Wardaddy,” a Sherman tank commander who must guide his men into the heart of Nazi Germany during the last month of World War II. The film features a star-studded cast, including Shia LeBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Jon Bernthal. Fresh off of his Oscar® win for Gravity’s high-energy, out-of-this-world score, Price strikes a musical balance with an emotionally resonant, action-packed score for Fury. Price scored the film with cellos and an intimate choir to portray the inner angst and bond between the war-torn soldiers while incorporating actual World War II weaponry - including a .50 caliber machine gun, jerry cans, and dog tags to create industrial, treading percussion sounds that echo the bombast of tank warfare. Total playtime of the soundtrack will be 67 minutes. Fury opens in theaters nationwide on October 17th 2014.
