Leïla, an accomplished athlete, is released after five years in prison — when she meets Yannick, a young runner who has just lost his sight in an accident. To help him practice, she attaches herself to him by a wire during their training. Though their past histories are at odds, they will learn to understand each other and turn their differences into strengths for the sake of competition.
Patrick Doyle’s powerfully emotional and beautiful score features the London Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Carmine Lauri in an ensemble highlighting some of the orchestra’s all-star virtuosos. The legendary composer of such scores as Henry V, Hamlet and Sense And Sensibility delivers another classic in LA LIGNE DROITE.
