El pasado fin de semana se concedieron los Annie Awards, premios centrados en la animación tanto para la gran pantalla como para la pequeña. La gran triunfadora de la noche fue How to train your dragon 2 (Cómo entrenar a tu dragón 2), película realizada por Dean Deblois. En los apartados musicales resultaron premiadas las creaciones de Christopher Willis para Disney Television Animation, y la de John Powell y Jónsi por su trabajo para la mencionada How to train your dragon 2.
Todos los ganadores lComposer John Powell and singer/writer Jónsi have won an Annie Award in the category Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated Feature Production for the film How To Train Your Dragon 2. The other nominees in this category were Danny Elfman for Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Nicole Renald for Cheatin’, Bruno Coulais & Kila for Song of the Sea
and Joe Hisaishi for The Tale of Princess Kaguya. The ceromony took place in UCLA's Royce Hall in LA.
