Varese Sarabande has released 3 new titles in their Club series. A Deluxe 2-CD set of Marco Beltrami's Hellboy, a Deluxe Edition of Basil Poledouris Robocop 3 and as an Encore John Barry's Jagged Edge.

Another epic score long in need of the Deluxe Edition treatment! One of Marco Beltrami’s greatest works, HELLBOY (2004) leads off the latest batch of CD Club titles.

Remixed and remastered, now doing away with an unusual audio artifact that affected the original release, Hellboy sounds better than it ever has in this sprawling 2-CD presentation. We have received so many requests for this one. A classic score for the cult-classic film.

From visionary writer/director Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Blade II, Crimson Peak) comes Hellboy, a supernatural action adventure based on Mike Mignola's popular Dark Horse Comics series of the same name. Born in the flames of hell and brought to Earth as an infant to perpetrate evil, Hellboy (Ron Perlman) was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Dr. Broom (John Hurt), who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Broom's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic 'Mer-Man' Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) and Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), a woman who can control fire — and the object of his adoration. Hidden from the very society that they protect, they stand as the key line of defense against an evil madman who seeks to reclaim Hellboy to the dark side and use his powers to destroy mankind.

Director Paul Verhoeven’s original RoboCop (1987) featured one of Basil Poledouris’ most famous themes and beloved scores. Though he wasn’t on board for Irvin Kershner’s 1990 sequel RoboCop 2, Basil did return for the third installment of the hit franchise with director Fred Dekker’s RoboCop 3 in 1993. On the heels of our massive Starship Troopers Deluxe Edition, we are thrilled to present another special release from our dearly-missed friend.

John Barry’s Jagged Edge returns!

Our Encore editions usually stick to the original track list and running order, but Jagged Edge never had individual track titles. And now it does! Plus we have remastered it and re-sequenced it for an all-new listening experience. There wasn’t any additional music, so we couldn’t offer this as a Deluxe Edition, however, we have really shined up this Jagged Edge. A beautiful, bittersweet John Barry love theme along with some atypical suspense music are hallmarks of this very distinct entry in Barry’s legendary filmography.

A grisly homicide … a sensational trial … a forbidden affair. It's Jagged Edge, a razor-sharp suspense thriller about crime, punishment and passion. Jeff Bridges is the prime suspect and Glenn Close plays the attorney who falls in love with him. When a San Francisco socialite is viciously murdered, her publisher-husband, Jack Forrester (Bridges), is accused of committing the crime. Teddy Barnes (Close) decides to defend the charming, manipulative Jack, only to disregard legal ethics by having an affair with him. With the help of private eye Sam Ransom (Robert Loggia), she takes on a ruthless D.A. (Peter Coyote) who's using the case as a political stepping stone. However, a startling revelation puts Teddy in jeopardy of becoming the next victim of the Jagged Edge.
