During its near-70 year history, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has performed on the soundtracks to many famous films, from Powell and Pressburgers iconic The Red Shoes to David Leans Academy Award- winning A Passage To India, and more. Hollywood Blockbusters 2 continues RPOs legacy with selections from, among others, The Theory Of Everything (Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score), The Kings Speech (BAFTA Award for Best Film Music), Lincoln (Critics Choice Awards Best Score) ,War Horse (BMI Film Music Award) and the theme from Skyfall, the recent James Bond film. Also featuring recent favorites Paddington, Frozen, The Hobbit and How To Train Your Dragon 2, the RPO led by Nic Raine adds to its legacy as the pre-eminent performer of cinematic favorites.
