David Arnold & Michael Pryce's score available on CD on 01/24/17

On 27th January, Silva Screen will release The David Arnold and Michael Price soundtrack as a 2 disc set in both physical and digital format. Digital albums featuring music from each episode will be released a day after the episode is first aired on TV.

Inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and written and created by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who) and Mark Gatiss, Sherlock Series 4 starts on New Year’s Day with The Six Thatchers, a heartbreaking and hilarious opening episode which spins the show into new, darker territory. The Six Thatchers will be followed by the Lying Detective on Sunday 8th and The Final Problem, on Sunday 15th January.

Well established composer partnership, Arnold and Price work on Sherlock scores remotely, playing pieces of music down the phone. They both have favourite bits but will never reveal who did what. Price tends to be the more earnest and sentimental one whilst Arnold excels on big dramatic cues. Arnold and Price’s music for the previous series received BAFTA and Emmy nominations and won an RTS Television Award.

David Arnold is one of the UK’s leading film composers, penning the scores to a host of blockbuster movies including Stargate, The Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Hot Fuzz, Paul, Independence Day, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Casino Royale.

Michael Price is a Emmy Award-Winning composer, music editor and arranger whose credits include Band Of Brothers, The Lord Of The Rings and Love Actually.
