Victor Frankenstein - Airplane 2

New releases La-La Land Records

La-La Land Records will release on November 19th 2015 2 new soundtracks. The first is Craig Armstrong's score to Victor Frankenstein and the second soundtrack will be Airplane II: The Sequel.

La-La Land Records, 20th Century Fox and Fox Music present the CD release of the original motion picture score to the feature film VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, starring Daniel Radcliffe, James McAvoy, Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox. The film is directed by Paul McGuigan from a screen story and screenplay by Max Landis. The producer is John Davis. The film opens in theaters everywhere
November 25.

Acclaimed composer Craig Armstrong (FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD, THE GREAT GATSBY, LOVE ACTUALLY, MOULIN ROUGE!) unleashes a powerhouse orchestral score to propel this dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale, starring James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation. Brimming with dramatic thrills and sweeping emotion, Armstrong’s score is a feast for the ears and one of the year’s most notable works.
“Craig is a true artist that needs to understand the director’s vision,” says director Paul McGuigan, “He really wants to understand the ideas and the drive behind each scene and how this affects character and action… He creates work that elevates and complements your work and ultimately he makes the film better… he makes you better.”
“From the very start we had the same artistic vision for the music,” remarks composer Craig Armstrong. “We discussed certain sound elements and phrases we wanted to include among the orchestral elements of the score. We blended the orchestra with vintage synthesizers and unusual acoustic instruments like the glass armonica. The score was written in my studio in Glasgow over several months and finally recorded at Air Studios in London.”
Produced by Craig Armstrong and mastered by Simon Francis at Simon Francis Mastering, this special CD soundtrack release will be available at www.lalalandrecords.com on November 17, 2015 and at major music retailers on November 20, 2015. A digital download version will also be available from Fox Music.

La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the world premiere release of the motion picture score to the 1982 Paramount Pictures feature film comedy AIRPLANE II: THE SEQUEL, starring Robert Hayes, Julie Hagerty, Lloyd Bridges and William Shatner, and directed by Ken Finkleman. Composer Richard Hazard (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ’69, MANNIX, NICKELODEON) expertly adapts Elmer Bernstein’s iconic AIRPLANE! score, while also providing his own exciting original music to help launch this sequel’s doomed airliner and its nutty cast of characters into the cosmos! Produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by James Nelson from an analog-to-digital transfer and new stereo mix by John Davis, this special release is limited to 1500 units and features exclusive, in-depth liner notes by writer Brian Satterwhite and high-flying art design by Goldwasser. In the years since its initial release, AIRPLANE II: THE SEQUEL has stepped out from the large shadow of its classic forefather to enjoy a cult status all its own. Finally, its time for its lively score to be celebrated as well. So there!
