World premiere performance of Hilgrove Kenricks Suite from The Sanctuary

The film Orchestra, the UK's first amateur orchestra to play only original music for film, TV and video games is preparing for its first world premiere in Kidderminster this halloween. “Screams From The Screen” will feature the world premiere performance of ‘Suite from The Sanctuary’ by Worcestershire-based film composer Hilgrove Kenrick
‘Suite from The Sanctuary’ will be performed by Worcestershire’s own The film Orchestra (TfO), conducted by James Topp with Noriko Tsuzaki leading the orchestra.TfO is a 70-piece orchestra which was launched in Worcester in 2013 with musicians aged 12 - 85.
Hilgrove has supported The Film Orchestra from it’s development both behind the scenes as music advisor and on the concert platform as resident compere for TfO concerts. In spite of a clash with the premiere of his latest film ‘Bad Blood’ on October 31st, Hilgrove has pledged his support and will be onstage hosting for us once again..
The programme will include classic horror and sci-fi scores from John Williams: ‘Jaws’, ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’, Bernard Herrmann’s ‘Psycho’ and Hans Zimmer’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The orchestra will also perform music from the video game “World of Warcraft’.
The film Orchestra will be supported by TfO Concert Band, conducted by Edward Roberts-Malpass. The band will give the audience more reasons to scream as they perform music from Franz Waxman's ‘Bride of Frankenstein’, ‘Alien’ and “The Sand Volcano’ by Jerry Goldsmith, ‘Van Helsing’ by Alan Silvestri and Ron Grainer’s ‘Dr Who Theme’.
