The Book Thief

New score assignment for John Williams

Recently JoAnn Kane Music Services have revealed through their Facebook page that John Williams is writing the score to The Book Thief. The story is based on the best-selling novel by Markus Zusak. The film tell's the story of a 9 year old girl, named Liesel Meminger who finds conformt in stealing books. The film is set in Nazi Germany in 1939. The film is directed by Brian Percival (Downton Abbey) starring Emma Watson, Geoffrey Rush and Sophie Nélisse as the 9 year old girl. The film will be released on November 15th 2013
